Description
L-tyrosine is an amino acid that functions as a precursor for stimulating neurotransmitters like norepinephrine and dopamine. These neurotransmitters play an important role in the regulation of our mood. L-tyrosine gives more energy, raises libido and decreases the appetite. The use of cocaine may lead to a shortage of l-tyrosine, which can lead to depression or the regularly occurring “after-dips”. Therefore l-tyrosine, especially when combined with l-tryptophan, is a good supplement to use after taking such drugs. In contrast to 5-HTP or l-tryptophan, use of l-tyrosine is NOT recommended after MDMA (XTC) usage!
