Description
A multi-branched shrub from Africa with large tuberous roots, bluish-green leaves and tubular whitish flowers enclosing orange fruits, Synaptolepis kirkii has been said to induce lucid dreams. Its root infusions are used in rituals and for those wishing to communicate with ancestral spirits or have prophetic visions. Some cultures have also used Synaptolepsis kirkii to treat snake bite and epilepsy.[1]
